For the first time, artist management company, Miller Music Management and music photography magazine, Rockshot Mag are joining up to bring you the best in up and coming new alternative rock.

This first edition brings four extremely exciting bands from all over the UK into one room at the famous The Fighting Cocks bar and venue in Kingston-upon-Thames. Featured bands include;

Young Braves
https://www.facebook.com/YoungBravesUK
Hailing from Shropshire, this young 4 piece have been making waves in the West Midlands since they were 15 as previous guise Arcade Parade. Now in their early 20’s, their sound has matured even more. Support comes from BBC Introducing and Radio 1’s Huw Stephens as well as Record of the Day and Clash, who described their debut single as, ‘…its crunching riff is matched to vocals that rip out of the speaker.’. No wonder they were asked as one of the supports for The Black Keys in Birmingham a few years ago. Keep your ears peeled for new single Sleep It Off.

Badminton
https://www.facebook.com/badmintonmusicuk/
The trio from Leeds, together since 2015, started out as Friends of Friends before a legal battle from a US label of the same name had them change it and Badminton were born. They consider their music ‘sad alt rock’ (think The Black Foxxes, Death Cab For Cutie) but I guarantee once you hear them and see them live, you’ll have nothing but a smile on your face. They’ve caught the attention of BBC Intro East Midlands, Kobalt/AWAL, Reading & Leeds organisers and John Kennedy (Radio X / X-posure).

S.G.Wolfgang

Consisting of four fiercely keen characters from Milton Keynes, ‘Souls Out’ is their brand new single, released on the legendary Fierce Panda Records. Last time we heard from S.G.Wolfgang they were called Sean Grant & The Wolfgang, having released their 7 Deadly 7 EP dubbing them “Frank Turner & The Bad Seeds”. They have just put the finishing touches to their debut album The Shadows Are Lengthening with Paul Warriner at the helm and mixed by Paul Gregory of Lanterns On The Lake, creating rock gems with nods to QOTSA, Rocket From The Crypt and Afghan Whigs. Wynona Bleach

This electrifying 5 piece from Belfast, N.I., are about to break out. Formally known as R51, they’ve toured Russia, played the BBC Introducing Stage @ Reading and Leeds Festival, supported Feeder and played BBC’s Across The Line birthday at Ulster Hall alongside Therapy?. Wynona Bleach declared their arrival in 2018 with a song called Eyes Burning. “The guitars rise up like fuzz-mountains and the melodies are strangely sweet. It’s a rich combination and the critic who invented the term “gaze-pop” may be onto something” says the legendary Stuart Bailie. Support comes from BBC Radio, Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music amongst many others. Watch out for new EP Sugar (single released 12.10.18 / EP 26.10.18).
