Weezer Get Their Hooks Into Wembley Arena

Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo isn’t your typical rock star. He keeps a Google Sheets database of lyrics, tagged by rhyme and meter. He sticks to a strict writing schedule: Monday’s for words, Tuesday is melodies, verses, and structure, and Wednesday’s all about new hooks. Returning to the Brixton Academy the Californian four-piece strolled onto the stage, their famous illuminated “W” sign behind them, to screams from their five-year patient London audience, tearing straight into White Album opener California Kids.
