Live: Saint Agnes @ Oslo, Hackney.

Beware!  Saint Agnes are back with a new single and are ready to kick down the doors in your neighbourhood. The band, who are my personal greatest discovery of 2016, have bought out another strong rock song Merry Mother Of God Go Round. The new single release was followed by a live show at Oslo, Hackney on 8th December. Nothing can be just ordinary on 8th December. On the same date, we lost John Lennon (1980) and Darell Dimebag (2004) and it should be another celebration of Jim Morrison’s birthday – the Lizard King would have been 73 this year. With expectations set high by the upcoming single, I...

Live: Hackney Wonderland Festival. A Musical Feast In Hackney.

A Musical Feast In Hackney. The third annual Hackney Wonderland Festival took place in the heart of Hackney on 15th and 16th October. This year it evolved from one-day event to proper weekend festival. In short – Hackney Wonderland could be described as two days of music, five clubs and over 40 artists. With the headliners like Mystery Jets and Lucy Rose, the festival was already set for success but it’s not only about the main acts. Every ticket holder was given wristband and could freely roam between  Oval Space, Sebright Arms, The Pickle Factory, London Fields Brewhouse and...

Now that they’ve released new single Sister Electric, on Death or Glory Gang Records, they’re pleased to share their brand new video by Ed Edwards of multimedia, award-winning independent film company, Ragged Crow Productions.  The innovative and atmospheric Sister Electric video was shot over two nights in a medieval house in Kent. It takes the form of a supernatural hallucination brought on by band members downing a strange potion during an occult gathering. The mesmerizing spinning room...

LIVE: Saint Agnes @ Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen

Single or album release events are always one’s to remember. Sometimes they are one big disaster, sometimes they turn into the show that redefines everything. There is one thing for certain, they are not to be missed.  The party, held at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, was looking quite promising with new up-and-coming bands like CuT and Dolls and a real cherry on the top, Saint Agnes. CuT is probably one of the youngest bands I’ve ever seen at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen. Their youthful energy mixes well with melodic space punk.  The band took over the stage and...
