Christmas will be coming (slightly) early for punks up and down the nation thanks to this year’s Fireball – Fuelling The Fire tour. The fabulously raucous roll call of bands hits venues around the UK in early-mid December with a line up straddling the punk spectrum.
Most recently announced, is LA hardcore outfit The Bronx as very special guests on the tour, which also features Flogging Molly, Face To Face, Lost in Stereo and DJ Matt Stocks.
The much anticipated results of Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019 Competition (in conjunction with Kerrang!), which sought out local bands to open up each date of the tour, have also been announced. The lucky winners include Black Water County, The Lagan, The Run Up, These Five Years, Wood & Nails, Lake Acacia, Thieves of Liberty, Take Today, Counting Coins and The Human Project. At the end of the tour, one of the bands will be selected to feature on next year’s bill for the whole tour. There’s everything to play for!
The tour is a result of the union of Canadian liqueur brand Fireball and the O2 Academy venues and starts in London, taking in Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and Oxford before ending with a mid-December Bournemouth showdown.
Now in it’s 4th year, this rock and roll punkfest’s previous incarnations featured acts including Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish and Anti-Flag.
Rockshot is planning to be there this year – see you down the front!
