Brighton-based rock duo Royal Blood are back! With their hotly anticipated sophomore album How Did We Get So Dark? dropping on June 16th and following a mini UK tour, hitting up a select few small venues which kicks off this week, the rockers have announced the first wave of massive European and UK dates this winter.
Kicking off at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, the band’s biggest headline tour to date winds its way through Milan, Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam and Antwerp before hitting the UK, including a huge London show at Alexandra Palace before concluding with a homecoming gig at the Brighton Centre.
With such a massive sound coming from just two guys, it’s hard to comprehend just how incredible Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher are without catching them live. Thatcher’s intricate yet heavy drumming perfectly compliment Kerr’s incredible bass guitar parts which he articulates into dual bass and lead guitar parts alongside slick vocals. That’s it. Two guys, one massive sound.
Following Royal Blood’s short underplay tour, which kicks off this week at Cambridge’s Corn Exchange venue, they continue with an international festival schedule that includes Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, The Governors Ball in New York, Japan’s Summer Sonic, Chicago’s famous Lollapalooza and the Eden Sessions.
Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday, May 26th:
