Foo Fighters are back at it for Cal Jam 2018! Following a triumphant inaugural festival last October, the Los Angeles-based rockers return to curate and headline this year’s edition, to be held once again at Glen Helen Regional Park and Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA.

2017 saw the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, The Kills and Cage The Elephant alongside massive British acts Liam Gallagher, Royal Blood and Wolf Alice contribute to a marathon 12+ hours of rock ‘n’ roll proceeding Foo Fighters’ mammoth headline set, which saw the likes of Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Rick Astley, Dave Koz, Liam Gallagher and Alison Mosshart joining the Foo Fighters on stage during their epic set.

This year, 1980’s legend Billy Idol will headline on Friday night before Saturday’s epic rock marathon ensues. This year will see Iggy Pop bring his Post Pop Depression to life, featuring Queens Of The Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen and Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders.

Also on the bill are the Jack Black-fronted purveyors of ‘The Greatest Song In The World’ – Tenacious D and Shirley Manson-fronted alternative pop-rock icons Garbage, celebrating 20 years of their sophomore release Version 2.0.

Silversun Pickups, Manchester Orchestra, Krist Novoselic’s new band Giant In The Trees, Slaves, Gang Of Youths, Black Mountain and more will also be hitting the stage in the California sun.

This is very much a Foo Fighters family affair, Tenacious D having appeared in Foo Fighters’ Learn To Fly music video back in 1999, Grohl having served as drummer with Josh Homme’s Queens of the Stone Age, Garbage drummer Butch Vig of course is better known as the renowned producer of Nirvana’s seminal album Nevermind as well as Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light and Sonic Highways records.

And of course Dave Grohl’s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic also making an appearance, his first alongside Grohl since 2013’s Sound City Players shows and Nirvana’s 2014 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In addition to the full day of rock, the festival will include a number of activities open to attendees. Campers will be treated to outdoor midnight movies and access to the water park as well as the newly christened Friday Night Comedy Tent curated by comedian Tim Hanlon (aka Dave’s cousin). All ticket holders will be able to enjoy the site’s free carnival rides, the Rock-N-Roll museum and pop up record shop.
