Nils Lofgren is celebrating his 50th year of touring professionally with his first UK shows in three years.

Billed as “an intimate acoustic evening of songs and stories”, the 15 performances across the country will see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee playing songs from his extensive solo repertoire.

A member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band since 1984, Lofgren will once again be joined by multi-instrumentalist Greg Varlotta who took part in the shows captured on the live album UK2015 Face The Music Tour.

Lofgren, who formed the band Grin in 1967 before being recruited by Neil Young for his After The Gold Rush album, will also continue the tradition of the “show after the show” where he and his wife Amy spend time visiting with fans after the gig.

“I’ve never felt more welcome or at home touring than in the UK,” says Lofgren. “I’m honored and grateful to celebrate my 50th year on the road there with Amy, Greg and our great UK crew, for an inspired night of music and friends.

“We love the UK audiences. Please come join us!”
