Get Inuit may have a new name, Indoor Pets, but everything else remains the same. Same members, playing the same songs, with the same wild energy.

That’s not entirely true either. They’re starting to release new music, including So Soon. Their first track as Indoor Pets has already been tipped by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens (it’s currently his Track of the Week).

And now it’s got a video, showing frontman Jamie Glass visiting various famous London landmarks within a series of animated Polaroid photos.

Achieving the effect was easier said than done and involved Glass lip-syncing the lyrics at a quarter of their usual speed so when the footage is played back at normal speed, his surroundings seem to be moving much quicker than usual. The next step involved creating a stop motion effect by converting the video footage to 12 frames per second. And finally the visuals were superimposed onto the backdrop of Polaroids that was then shot in stop motion.

So Soon will no doubt be in play when Indoor Pets hit the road over the coming weeks. They’ve built a strong following for their frenzied live performances, either headlining their own shows or supporting the likes of Slaves, Spring King, The Magic Gang, PUP, and The Big Moon.

The quartet were formed by Glass after he became bored by his factory job in Sittingbourne and recruited bass player Ollie Nunn and the brothers Rob and James Simpson on drums and guitar, respectively.
