Emilie & Ogden have unveiled the official video for Go Home from the acclaimed debut album 10 000 which is out now on Secret City Records. Directed by Yani Clarke and Kevin Costain, the video focuses around a concept where “Emilie plays a deranged maid working at an old hotel. Emilie becomes infatuated with one of the residents and makes it her mission to make him notice her, which leads to her breaking into his room, destroying his belongings and eventually drowning in a bathtub. This is all terribly ambiguous, of course,” explains Yani Clarke.

Of the track’s subject matter, Emilie explains: “Sometimes you can’t come up with lyrics that are sadder than the words being said to you as you’re being dumped on a sidewalk in -30 degrees.”

Emilie wrote all the lyrics and music for 10 000, then teamed up with longtime accomplice and producer Jesse Mac Cormack and her drummer Francis Ledoux to finalize the songs’ construction. The music was recorded in Studio B-12 nestled in the woods of Valcourt in Quebec, Canada. 10 00′ includes two deconstructed and reconstructed tracks, Babel and Long Gone, from her previous EP, in addition to completely new compositions.

10 000 is now available on iTunes and on the Secret City Records online store.

Having recently toured solo across the U.S and Canada, and supported fellow Canadians Half Moon Run on UK and European tour dates, Emilie & Ogden will return to the UK for 4 headline shows in March 2016.
