Described by festival founder Michael Eavis as the muddiest ever Glastonbury, revellers can at least be thankful that the rain was largely kept at bay during the four festival days, although a torrential spell during Friday, a good downpour over that night, and some drizzle here and there over the remaining days ensured Worthy Farm’s famous mud was kept topped up. Hell, this year’s edition is probably just as memorable and mentioned for its sludge-like mud as for any of the bands, the resulting substance described by one as a kind of chocolate mousse. Attendees can also be thankful for...

Video: Lemmy & Finnish Milk.

Lemmy Kilminster stars in an advertisement for Finnish dairy giant Valio that was filmed less than a month before his death last month. In the advert, the Motörhead singer is seen walking out of a bar swearing never to drink milk. The TV commercial is a remake of a 20-year-old ad well-known to viewers in Finland Valio told us “This is offered in celebration of the life of a lovely, exceptional man – a man who celebrated life so vibrantly himself. Wychwood Festival, held at Cheltenham Racecourse, announce that The Strypes will be taking to their main-stage. The four-piece Irish rock band started playing together before they were even teenagers, relentlessly gigging around Ireland and quickly becoming the hottest ticket in any town. Taking inspiration from the likes of Elvis Costello, The Stones, The Jam and many more, The Continue Reading

I like the Roundhouse. If you can accept the compromised sight lines and sound, there’s something kind of cool about watching a band in an engine shed. It’s run by a charitable trust, which means it’s looked after; your feet don’t stick to the floor. Tonight, the giant dome is hosting the NME Awards Tour 2017, sponsored by VO5 – Continue Reading

Playing their biggest headline show to date, Montréal-based indie rockers Half Moon Run returned to Camden, albeit the Chalk Farm end, just a few months after their explosive Koko show following the release of their second studio album Sun Leads Me On. Yes, I went along to their Koko show (read all about that one here) and immediately went out Continue Reading
