One of London’s coolest Latin Funk and Salsa band take residency at Floridita 

Los Charly’s Orchestra is the brainchild of Venezuelan producers Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel, who have been established in London for a few years. Los Charly’s have garnered many accolades from the thriving Latin Funk and Boogaloo scenes. Regularly championed on Gilles Peterson’s, Craig Charles, BBC Radio 6, Jazz FM and SOAS Radio for their infectious mix of Boogaloo, 70’s Salsa and Latin Funk

Popular with both trend setters Dj’s and punters alike, Los Charly’s have graced the stage of The Clore Ballroom (Royal Festival Hall ), Jazz Café, Lovebox Festival and Blue Marlin Festival in Ibiza.

This summer sees the release of a monster remix of the classic  track “My Barrio & Jumping with Symphony Sid” remixed by “Capitan Futuro” out on the 2dn of July and an eagerly awaited  limited edition 7’ inch single “Al Ritmo Del Latin Funk” with a funky cover version of the Latin gem ” Descarga Cachao” on the b-side.

Los Charly’s 2nd album is schedule to be released in October 2012

The single launch party will take place at Floridita on the Saturday 4^th Of August
