Public Service Broadcasting today announced details of a major UK tour in October in support of new album, Every Valley, released on 7th July. Stopping in twelve cities – including their biggest headline to date at London’s Eventim Apollo, plus a selection of some of the best live rooms across the country – the tour will be the first chance for fans across the UK to experience the band’s new album, the first single release of which was Progress.
Every Valley is set against a backdrop of industrial decline and neglected and abandoned communities across the western world, but focuses on the history of the mining community in South Wales. Fittingly, the tour kicks off at Cardiff’s Great Hall on 13th October.
Resident set designer and visual mastermind, Mr. B, will reveal a brand-new stage design for the tour, as the band have now retired the much-loved mechanised tribute to Sputnik used throughout previous album tour, The Race For Space.
Tickets for the Every Valley shows are on sale from 9am on Friday 21 April and to fans on their mailing list through a pre-sale from 9am on Wednesday 19 April.
Speaking about the prospect of touring the new release J. Willgoose, Esq. explained:
“The best part of any album release is getting the chance to play it live in front of an audience. We can’t wait to share this record with people and get out there and play the new material later this year”.
